I'm not much for reviews, but this is worth it. This restaurante was formerly called El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant. It had closed recently for remodeling, and now has opened with a new name. It's very clean, with that Mexican flare. Way cleaner than before. It's now called the El Sombrero. We ate there this evening, and it was absolutely fabulous. Better than before! With out a doubt, it is the BEST Mexican restaurant in several hundred miles of Rapid City. Maybe further. Reasonable prices to boot. If you are wanting some traditional sure Mexican food, this is the spot. You have to try it.....you'll love it! It's located on East North Street. Don't pass it up. You'll be pleased you did.
This was an absolutely fantastic restaurant!!! We were on vacation and stopped in, and we are so glad we did! The food was delicious, and the customer service was even better! The staff made sure they went above and beyond to make our meal a wonderful experience. If we lived in Rapid City, we'd be regulars for sure.

The best Mexican food in Rapid City. I moved here from Texas and have been disappointed by all the other Mexican places. We sampled a little bit of everything and it was all so delicious. Generous margaritas too. We will definitely be back! Now, if only I could find good BBQ...
Been looking for awhile now for a great Mexican restaurant in this town. I've finally found a place that tastes like real Mexican food!!!
