Beautiful hotel. Glass enclosed elevators give a beautiful view of their exquisite lobby with fountains. Great place for a conference or just for a stay with the kids. Close to everything downtown Rapid City.
A beautiful and comfortable place to stay, sleep and enjoy the amazing sights. The Staff are kind, accommodating and friendly. We attended a wedding reception which was done very well. The pool and it tub were wonderful!
#2 When we all came in that night to check in and many of the party that had rooms with reservation numbers were told their rooms no longer existed. I had one bridesmaid that had to go find another hotel. had another couple that had to go sleep in another room with someone they know. So thats two room that they have overbooked because of a wedding that was there at the hotel. Later after we spoke to the sales manager he called these individuals back at and gave a free night stay to one couple but nothing for the other bridesmaid or the person that had to share their room.
I am the bride and coming into that mess that night and being told there is nothing they can do, it was very disappointing and sad. I was supposed to go to my room happy but I went frustrated that my wedding party had to find alternative options. Our room that we had for two nights, that was under the block of rooms was over charged by $40. ON a positive note the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are very nice, the restaurant is very good as well. IF there wouldn't have been so many issues on my wedding day with this hotel I would've given a 5 star.
People had to be at the venue at 11am and were not getting back until late that night.
Solid hotel. Very convenient to downtown and nearby attractions. Convention center is next door, so very convenient for that, too. Staff are great. Rooms are nicely appointed. My room was a king with a separate office/tv room. Fridge/microwave in room. Big tv's in both living and bedroom areas.
#1- On wedding day- they were refused early check in which complicated things.
This is a nice big hotel which is updated. We arrived late but they still upgraded is too a bigger room as we told them we were driving all day. The pool is open till late and it was nice to spend some time swimming and then I'm the hot tub before going to sleep. The breakfast was excellent and had lots of options for everyone in our group. I'd definitely stay here again when I come to the area.
I had set up a block of rooms for my wedding on Sept 2. I had set up our room for Friday and Saturday. (Friday for the hubby) We were told people and given them a list of those that needed to check in early and told they would be able to.
