The room was very nice. However, there were remnants of party decorations taped to the walls. There seemed to be some sort of high school event at the hotel. The pool was completely overrun with high school kids with no supervision. Our 9 and 11 year old kids couldn't really do much without getting squashed. The staff couldn't stay ahead of the high school crowd and keep the continental breakfast stocked the next morning. Facilities were nice and I expect the stay would have been much more enjoyable on a different weekend.
The AmericInn was a great place to spend the night. They had a pool, hot tub, and steam room. The AmericInn also had a slide with in the pool that was a fun ride. The beds were super comfy! There was also a continental breakfast, in which there was a huge variety of food. The staff was very helpful and nice. Great place to stay.
Friendly staff, beautiful lobby, comfortable room, and nice amenities! I didn't use the pool while I was there, but I saw many families that looked like they were having a wonderful time. The breakfast was very comprehensive, and with an evening's stay, you get a free beverage from the market downstairs. Also pet-friendly and made staying with my cat easy.
"Resort Fee" - read the fine print. I have nothing negative to say about the facilities or staff in itself. The reason I gave a lower star rating is because there is a $7.95 / day resort fee that is not disclosed until you show up to fill out the paperwork and get your room key. So, learn a lesson from me and ensure you are ok paying an extra $8/day in comparison with other hotels ('resort' or not).
