The staff are super friendly, the breakfast was good. But I can only give 3 starts because the beds are uncomfortable. All rooms have the same brand mattress that you can dial-up or dial-down the firmness, but it doesn't work. We tried every setting and the bed was hard and hurt our backs and shoulders to sleep on. The pool is very small and with a several other people down there, it was cramped and we left shortly after just getting in.
Warm atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Only one washer and one dryer in whole place, on first floor.
Do NOT stay here. Worst experience ever!! We checked into our two rooms late last night 6/8/17. We were shocked upon entering one room. It was filthy! Wet towels everywhere, beds unmade with dirty sheets, garbage in the room, and it smelled funny. I went to the front desk and complained. They moved us to another room and apologized. Well now we were separated from our second room but oh well. The second room had some sticky drips all over the wall, a tear in the wall paper, and the wall was damaged in the bathroom. The room they moved us to had a faulty air conditioner and also smelled bad. The lady at the front desk didn't even apologize. We only stayed about 5 hours. I'm the morning we found out the manager had quit. Also, my son ran into someone in the hallway and they too were complaining about their dirty room.
When we called to make a reservation at this hotel we were told they had one room left with a king size bed. We were traveling with children so I told them that we would take the room as long as they could assure us that we could have a couple cots for our children to sleep on. We checked into our hotel at 8 PM, a good five hours after standard check in time. When my husband opened the door to our room he found it to be completely dirty. The bed was in disarray, there were dirty towels on the floor in the bathroom, full garbage cans, crumbs on the floor, etc. He called the front desk to let them know and they assured him they would send somebody up to clean the room. A young man came by a short time later and swapped out the dirty sheets on the bed, took the towels off the floor in the bathroom and set clean ones on the counter and left. Nothing was ever “cleaned”. There was still a used bar of soap in the bathroom from the previous occupant and urine on the bottom of the toilet seat when we went in to use the bathroom. When we inquired about getting the cots for our children to sleep on we were told that they had just given the last cot away. In frustration, I went to the front desk to ask if I could speak to the manager. I was told that she wouldn’t be back until 8 o’clock the next morning. I asked about other options for sleeping arrangements and was told that they could provide us with a bunch of blankets for the kids to sleep on the floor (the dirty floor that had yet to be cleaned). They told us they were completely full and weren’t able to move us to another room. I asked the woman if somebody could at least bring a vacuum to the room so that we could take care of the crumbs on the floor. I personally vacuumed the floor of our hotel room and took out the trash. Not once did either of the two ladies working at the front desk offer an apology for the inconvenience. The next morning, when I went down and talked to the new staff that were on, I was told the manager actually wouldn’t be arriving until 9 o’clock or possibly later. I will say, the new staff were very apologetic and they did end up comping our entire room. We discovered we were also supposed to be given vouchers for free breakfast that the evening crew failed to mention as well.
My husband and I attended a military Christmas party there. The hotel was lovely. The party room off to the right of the entrance seemed small for the size of gathering we attended. It was split in half with an "outer" location where the buffet table was set up and an "inner" location where the tables were. The food was alright. I'm not sure if the hotel provided it or of it was outside catering though.
