I would give this hotel 10 stars if i could. Very friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms and bathrooms. We had checked out Sunday, planning to come home after some sight seeing. I had to be taken to the emergency room and we had to stay another night. They were more than willing to put us in the same room at a discounted rate since it was an emergency. Will definitely stay here again.
We had a reservation to stay there the night of the 18th of July, that morning I had a medical emergency which necessitated my going to the emergency room. We were not sure if this would include being admitted or not so called the hotel - the lady that answered stated that no one is allowed to cancel without 24 hr notice and that we will have to pay regardless. Offered proof of hospital but she said it made no difference, Ended up being discharged and staying there, even though we wanted to travel on to get closer to home - since we would have to pay for the room no matter what. Spoke to same person on check in, she again said the hospital was no reason to cancel. She also said the "hotel is privately owned" and "set it own policies" so their is no exceptions. The room was clean BUT exceptionally dusty and nightlight in bathroom ceiling kept flashing green on and off every time it was used during the night,
The room was nice and modern. The check-in process was easy. The breakfast was great. The only complaint I have is that the towels were not changed when the room was cleaned so we had to ask for towels and toilet paper.
This hotel had completely made up our bad experience at another holiday inn in Rapid city. We were welcomed like any guest should be with warmth and understanding. They got us checked in and ready for our room in less than 2 minutes. The room was spacious, very clean and modern. (There was even a night light in the restroom for those midnight potty breaks.) The breakfast was some of the best we ever had, the selection of food was great and breakfast attendant was incredibly kind. Thank you for making us feel at home when we are 700 miles away from our real one.
Best HIE we stayed at so far on our cross country road trip. This was stay location #7 of 9 of HIE stays. The breakfast was the best. They had egg white options, everything was working. Staff was friendly attentive and helpful and items stayed stocked. I also very much appreciated the soy milk option. I have to avoid dairy and it was nice to finally have some "milk" in my coffee in the morning! The rooms were spacious and clean. My boys loved the play feature at the pool. However, I think they had the chlorine way too high. Over the course of an hour, there were 15 kids in the pool and almost all started coughing. My two complained of issues breathing. They let the front desk know before we checked out. The lobby was clean and inviting and also the dining area. The hotel is conviently located close to a mall and a lot of other food and shopping options. Would definitely stay here again!
