Absolutely awe inspiring! The lighting ceremony is a must-see.
One has to appreciate the thought and energy that went into creating a monument that attracts so many tourists each year. The museum is excellent. The night time lighting heightens the drama of the presentation. Visiting in the shoulder season meant it didn't feel crowded. Thomas Jefferson ice cream is tasty. There are many restrooms.It's a national treasure that one will never forget after a visit.
Will not return. Hope my friends purchase doesn't break. Do not recommend.
Seeing the sculpture is magnificent, and learning about the process in the exhibits was quite interesting.
There were only 2 sales ladies, and it seemed tone their first day. They were quite rude and I was embarrassed as we just moved here and I brought a friend/ tourist along. Some of the prices were manageable for small gifts, but the sales ladies were completely unhelpful. When we inquired about the smell of the place , which smelled like cat urine, they were very defensive while we were just thinking a lot of ammonia was being used in the factory.
