Purchased carpet from Furniture Mart. Told installer it didn't look right and changed color from room to room. Was told it was because carpet was in roll for long time. Months later contacted store and my very nice sales person came out and determined it was a dye problem. Carpet was replaced after their insurance rep came and examined carpet. Loved color of new carpet but Dyson vacuum canister filled full after cleaning each room. Carpet rolled around brush and had to be cleared after each room. Contacted Furniture Mart. Informed they had already worked with me on previous carpet and would not come to see new one. Contacted Consumer Advocate but no cooperation was forthcoming from Furniture Mart. Made numerous appointments with "Jerry" who was a no-show for one appointment and cancelled another. Would not call back to reschedule, always had an excuse when I called. The store finally sent out the insurance guy again and showed him the problem. He stated it wouldn't be considered a problem unless the fibers were at least 2 inches long. At that time I pulled 2 inch strands from the brush on my vacuum. Lived with the carpet for another 2 yrs. I had brown carpet fiber over furniture, clothes and dog, actually there was more carpet fiber in my vacuum then dog hair. Furniture Mart continued to address the issue further even with my proof of the vacuum canister full of carpet fibers. I provided a clean vacuum to the insurance rep and encouraged him to do his own exam. To make a longer story short......"Jerry" finally came out when I called when a carpet cleaner was here and he observed the carpet cleaner's filter FULL of my carpet! I still have the same carpet........and will never step into that store again or Freed's which is owned by the same person. All my adult life I have done business with Freed's. I am so disappointed! New carpet is again in my dreams but who to TRUST? Furniture Mart held the fact they had replaced my first carpet against me without regard for the fact it was their dye problem. My carpet had a 20 yr warranty.
We bought a remnant at furniture mart and they were so helpful! Plus, they delivered it all the way up in bison, sd. I will definitely shop there again.
Over measured kitchen area, when first confronted lowered from 250 square feet to 200 square feet. Said underlayment no to specs or right material. Once I informed them I contacted Duraceramic directly to get specific material approval they said I could not use screws and had to use stapels which they charged me $300 when they said it would be more like $200. Job not finished, now to small claims court. Pay the extra $1 to $2 for installation at Carpet Mart or Floor to Ceiling and have less of a headache in the end. Would love to share pictures of less than adaquet installation and overcharging, all so missing materials such as left over glue and tiles.
Had these guys sourge and install our new wood flooring and they had great prices and did great work. Convenient and fast.
I was told by friends that Furniture Mart would be the best place to buy my new flooring. After not being greeted, the guy in there neglected to help me until I interrupted him from what it looked like was text messaging. I had questions about luxury vinyl that he did not know the answers to and he didnt seem to care to find me answers. I did find a product ony my own that I was interested in and Nick said he would give me a measurement. He did not show up to the measurement, and has not returned my phone calls. I found the same product somewhere else and they were prompt to answer my questions and measure my home. It turns out my friends had better luck with the sales rep.
