So, story time. Quite some time ago, when I bought my first Jeep I took it to Kustumz on Haines to install a 2” OME lift kit. After three days, I had no phone calls, and was left with a $770 bill and a jeep with no lift installed. Yes, the custom shop that builds NSX track cars, and a raptor/expedition SUV can’t even install a 2” lift. They gathered the boxes to the lift from the trash, then After paying the $700 bill to get my keys back, I returned home with a none lifted jeep and a $700 dent in my pocket. I then found the directions in a box that had been THROWN AWAY. With these instructions I was able to install the lift in a matter of hours on a basketball court with basic hand tools. I am all about supporting local business, however out of all my travels. The select few times I’ve had a shop do work, this one was the WORST. I had high hopes seeing the projects they had going. However, after they threw the directions to the lift away, took three days of labor, and charged me a “discounted rate” I still had to install the lift myself. I hope this review can save others from the experience I had.
