My favorite Rapid City Trolley stop. We can easily spend the full hour in the gift shop. The ice cream and snacks here are decently priced. To get to the actual top of Dinosaur Park there is quite a number of steps and is good for health conscious people to climb even if it's just for the exercise. Once you're up there you get an incredible view of Rapid City. A lot of kids enjoy climbing on the dinosaurs. This is a great FREE attraction for families.
Stairs are steeper than they look, so be careful! I wish the handrails were higher. Huge dinosaurs. Great photo op. View of the city is superb!
I came here as a kid and LOVED it, so when we were able to make a return trip, of course I wanted to go see my favorite dinosaurs! This is such a cute little park with a great view (and even better dinos!). They have an amazing gift shop across the road with snacks (hot dogs!) and other souvenirs. Definitely worth a visit!
Small, but a beautiful park in the heart of the city. Park is on the hill, so be prepared to walk and climb a few steps to reach the top of the park. Amazing view of the city we spent around an hour at the top. I assume sunset must be beautiful we missed it because it became chilly and we forgot to carry our overcoats. The gift shop is good with the reasonable price for snacks and souvenir. Most important there is "no entry fee".
Great views of Rapid City. Great place for a picnic. I have more fun there than my kids do. I thought the dinosaurs would be real.
