I thought I had ordered and paid for a cup of soup, but didn't get it, I got a bag of chips with my sandwich though. I liked the atmosphere and interior design. The almond chicken sandwich I had was very good.
Great coffee house, wonder selection of bakes goods, and both comfortable environment as well as prompt service.
I have been a customer at Dunn Bros since they opened their first location off Omaha St. I have never had a poor experience until today. While waiting for my family to show, I sat and waited a few minutes. I hadn't been there 3 minutes and was completely embarrassed by the manager, Jesse. He approached us asking if we needed anything. I explained we were waiting for someone and would be up to order when they arrived. He said, Ok well make sure you order something. You can't just be here. I said I would. Then he just stood there. His judgemental attitude was very harsh. He made me feel like a leper off the street.I had caused no issues. I am clean cut and don't feel I fit the bum stereo-type. But I was immediately treated like a vagrant. I was mortified. The few tables near us heard his comments and were staring at us. I have never felt so unwelcome at a business in my friendly home town. Ever. I decided to call my family and meet at a different restaurant. We left immediately. My wife asked another employee who now owned the shop. It had changed hands several years earlier I believe. Her name was Diane and she happened to be in the restaurant at the time. My wife explained to her what just happened. She told us we were welcome to stay but I was too embarrassed by what he did to accept her offer. Dunn Bros has lost my business. I will not return. I am in hospitality and Dunn Bros is the closest coffee shop to my place of business. I will urge my guests to go to the Starbucks a few blocks down, even though it is owned by a competing business. I felt so terrible that I immediately decided to review my experience. FYI... The cup I had in my hand was trash from your parking area.
Nice place. Coffee was bitter. Lady at counter didn't even thank me for leaving her a dollar tip for a $3 item.
I like the new location. I had coffee and a breakfast sandwich on a gluten free biscuit with turkey bacon. Very good! Great place to meet up with friends.
